When Basi fled DR Congo with his family, he lost his wife and was alone with his four little children in Malawi. By a miracle of God, they reached Canada, but by then Basi had lost all hope of even remaining on this earth. Then God stepped in by sending missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He felt his hope reawaken when they assured him that we live after this life, and how families can be reunited in heaven. Today, Basi has found another wife, had another child, and best of all, has rediscovered the hope and joy of living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He invites all his family and friends to come and join this Church so they can also feel this great joy.

Wakati Basi alikimbia DR Congo pamoja na familia yake, alifiwa na mke wake na alikuwa peke yake na watoto wake wadogo wanne nchini Malawi. Kwa muujiza wa Mungu, walifika Kanada, lakini kufikia wakati huo Basi alikuwa amepoteza matumaini kabisa ya kubaki hapa duniani. Kisha Mungu akaingilia kati kwa kutuma wamisionari wa Kanisa la Yesu Kristo la Watakatifu wa Siku za Mwisho. Alihisi tumaini lake kuamka tena walipomhakikishia kwamba tunaishi baada ya maisha haya, na jinsi familia zinaweza kuunganishwa tena mbinguni. Leo, Basi amepata mke mwingine, na kupata mtoto mwingine, na bora zaidi, amepata tena tumaini na furaha ya kuishi Injili ya Yesu Kristo.
