The Promise of Jesus Christ

In the Philippines, Adonis was inspired to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But once in the mission field, he found that his testimony was insufficient to confidently testify of the things he was teaching. So he did what he was inviting his friends to do. He fervently prayed and then waited for an answer. That was when he learned from the Holy Ghost that, yes, it was all literally true. “The promise of Jesus Christ is sure,” he says. “The Holy Spirit will help you know that these things are true.”

Today, Adonis recalls the foundations of his faith and the wonderful, warm feelings he received when he first gained that assurance for himself. “And you can know it too,” he promises.
