When Michael was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the age of eight, he was happy to join “the herd of God,” as he puts it. But as his testimony grew, he learned a very different viewpoint. “God knows us individually,” he testifies. “He knew me, and I wasn’t anybody. If He knew me, He must know everyone.”
