The Dueling Missionaries

Shelby and her husband Darcy had a decision to make. Now that they had started their family, what would they teach their children about God and Jesus Christ? Then they had a brilliant idea. Since their previous religions both had missionaries, they would invite them to come and teach. Then they would decide what to do.

Missionaries from Jehovah’s Witnesses and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were soon alternating visits in the Wickham home. Shelby smiles as she relates the dramatic difference between the two doctrines, and why they kindly invited the Jehovah’s Witnesses not to return.

From that point on, the Shelby and Darcy had not only found a religion to teach their children, but had also re-ignited their own fire of Faith in Jesus Christ and His Restored Gospel.

“Ask Heavenly Father if this is right for you,” Shelby advises. “I know it was right for me and I know it was right for my family.”
