Rescued

Jay was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when he was twelve, but as he grew older, he turned away and spiraled into addiction. Alcohol took over his life, and before long, he found himself homeless and broken. But when Jay finally reached a point of honesty with himself, he began the long road back.

His turning point came when a loving Church leader reached out—not with judgment, but with genuine concern and hope. Through prayer, repentance, and the mercy of Jesus Christ, Jay found the strength to change and the peace he had been missing. Today, he shares his story to encourage anyone battling addiction: there is a way back, and peace can be found through Christ and His Church.
