It Has to be God

Buying a wife in Nigeria (called Bride Price) is a very expensive proposition, at least for everyone but Ovie. When he and Precious agreed to marry, they fasted and prayed for Divine help, and got it. “It was easy,” Ovie says. “It is a miracle. It has to be God.”

Since joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Avwara family has learned that true worship does not require the noise of loud singing, dancing, clapping hands, and shouting prayers. “In the presence of God, there should be reverence,” Precious says.

Today, the Avwara family continues to sacrifice and serve in thanks to God for His marvelous blessings as they continue to grow in the Faith.
