Hope for a Better Life

Not everyone considers life a great gift. To some it can be a burden or even a curse. So when Melodie’s planned suicide was interrupted by a caring young woman from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she became frustrated and annoyed. And yet, there was something special about the young woman, so Melodie had to stick around to find out what it was. To her surprise, she found the good news that she has a loving Heavenly Father who sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to save her soul. From that first frustrating encounter, Melodie discovered a new purpose, a new light and reason to live. “You are worth more than you know with Christ,” she says, “and your Savior can fill your soul.” Today Melodie tells her story through tears of gratitude with a commitment to help anyone who lacks the will to live.
