Destabilizing the Devil’s Work

Nothing infuriates the Devil more than seeing people turn to Jesus Christ and embrace His Gospel. Among his fiercest opponents are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—especially those bold, zealous missionaries, young and old. For this reason, he works tirelessly to prevent anyone from serving, and if he cannot stop them, he tries to crush them with doubts during or after their selfless service.

James discovered this firsthand after serving a mission in Nigeria. His faith was tested, and doubts pressed heavily upon him. But he came to recognize the true source of those attacks. Pulling back the curtain, he boldly commanded the adversary to depart.
