The Parable of the Tree

So often in life we may complain about how tough things are. “We didn’t sign up for this,” we might say. But it is those times of struggle that try our souls and refine us into something far greater than we ever could experience without them.

As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Doug and Lucy Stables are excellent examples of those who have been through great, painful trials that have resulted in the miracle that they have become today. “It’s like a plant coming up through the pavement,” Doug explains. “It eventually pushes and pushes and pushes and breaks through, and that’s how I am.”

Watching this Faith Story will likely change your view of why life is often so difficult, and, like the Stables, you too may thank Heaven for them.
