The Power of Opening Your Mouth

Herb Northcott asked a fellow student what she thought God must look like, and for that, both he and the girl were kicked out of their high school library for talking. But Herb’s boldness in sharing initiated a year-long quest for himself, the girl, and her best friend Nancy. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Herb was not afraid to open his mouth to discuss his faith. Both girls were baptized and changed forever. Today Nancy says Herb’s influence not only changed her life, but the lives of her children and even grandchildren. “I don’t know where I would be if Herb hadn’t shared with us,” she says. “I have never been the same since.”
