For over 2,000 years, time has been measured from the birth of a tiny baby, born in an obscure stable, to poor parents without special notoriety. And since then, time has been measured based on that event. We now refer to historical events prior to Christ as B.C. literally meaning Before Christ, and all events since then as A.D. (Anno Domini) Latin for “In the Year of the Lord.”

Just think of it. Of all the thought leaders, philosophers, kings, and great men and women ever to have lived, it was this child’s birth that reset the world clock forever. With all due respect to those whose god is found in an image, or the worship of some other man or essence, they all fail to make the grade that this baby set.

It is my humble yet fervent testimony that the birth of Jesus Christ not only reset the time clock, but His life has become the hallmark of all that I hold precious. He is my Redeemer, Savior and best friend. I honor and worship Him with all my heart, and try every day to become a little more like He is.

May you find increased peace and joy this Christmas, thinking of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ. The very center of time.
